indie goes abroad

There I was on May Morning.. all tired out after a change over at Bahrain. I was finally in London !!!

My first impression of Heathrow was - wow what a big airport and clean one too. We took the metro to the bus terminal. Boarded a bus to Cardiff (in Wales) where my younger brother stays. The National Express bus was clean, airconditioned and carried a loo too. (what a contrast from Neeta Travels).

A 3 hour drive through the pristine and beautiful English countryside brought us to the seven sisters bridge and then we entered Wales. In another 30 mins we were in Cardiff. We got down at Cardiff and called up my brother who came to collect us.

Cardiff city is clean , roads included. only jarring thing -- the silence. No sound any where, no cars honking, no raddiwala shouting, no bhajjiwala anywhere. My brother's house is located in a nice area , all bungalows. After a few hours of rest, we started off to see his town

We visited the port , had a ride in the merry go around, had good food at a nearby restaurent came back and crashed due to jet lag. The time was around 8.00 pm but the sun was still shining.

The next day, we went to see a local castle (see picture), lush green location.

The next 5 days were spent in London as i had to attend a Conference there. From there we went to Paris taking the boat option. Visited The Eiffel tower, saw Disney land
